Lexian completes first phase of Beijing 2008 Advisory Role

Lexian has just completed the first stage of the Logistics Advisory role for the Beijing Olympics. Lexian was contracted by Linfox in April 2005 to provide advisory and planning support to the Logistics and Procurement Department within The Beijing Organising Committee (BOCOG). This follows similar roles with Sydney 2000, and for the Australian Olympic Team in Athens 2004.

The advisory role has centred on determining warehousing, transportation, personnel and IT requirements to manage the logistics requirements for such a large and significant sporting event. The process is ongoing with much work still to be done.
